"Wi snackt Hün un Perdün on platt!" - Germany's most popular Low German Volkstheater: the Ohnsorg Theater!

Regularly televised shows, along with icons such as Heidi Kabel, Heidi Mahler and Henry Vahl, have made the theatre nationally famous. The Ohnsorg-Theater mainly presents comedies and amusing stories. In addition to the classics, they also perform serious pieces that present Low German as a rich and versatile language.

With the move of the Ohnsorg Theater into the Bieberhaus - after 75 years in the Grossen Bleichen, a long-held desire for improved working conditions and new artistic possibilities has been fulfilled. The attractive new theatre building, with its large foyer area and state-of-the-art technology, will enthral many a visitor. Warm colours and pleasant materials create the famed Ohnsorg atmosphere.

There is a good view and excellent acoustics from all of the 414 seats in the stalls and circle. Decentralised cloakrooms, additional WCs, a lift and good air-conditioning provide the modern comfort that theatre-goers expect today. The new stage with a proscenium height of 4.7 metres permits artistic development, and the studio theatre provides room for additional activities.
